Night of Christmas Joy Brings Holiday Spirit to FUMC Denton

Steve Cobb (Santa) & Mo Underwood at A Night of Christmas Joy

On December 13, our church family and friends came together for a magical Night of Christmas Joy—a festive evening filled with laughter, music, and the warmth of community. From the very start, the night buzzed with excitement as guests enjoyed a delicious pancake dinner and eagerly awaited the arrival of a very special guest: Santa himself!

Santa brought cheer to the room as families took pictures and children shared their Christmas wishes. Meanwhile, Mars and Adeline from the Denton Wesley Foundation (the Methodist campus ministry serving TWU and UNT) led us in lively Christmas carols. Their beautiful music set the perfect tone for a night of celebration and joy.

We also had the chance to get creative with holiday crafts, making keepsakes to treasure this season. Singing carols together reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas, and the delicious food and fellowship filled our hearts and bellies alike.

A huge thank-you to Pastor Sheryl, Mo Underwood, Andrew Brown-Trigg, Chris Gallarneau, Steve Cobb, and the so many more volunteers and friends who worked tirelessly to make this event a success. Your efforts turned the evening into a cherished memory for all who attended.

The Night of Christmas Joy was a reminder of the beauty of community and the magic of the holiday season. We’ll carry these moments in our hearts as we move closer to Christmas Day. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this night one to remember!
