Introducing Stephanie, New Director of CDO!

Dear Church Family,

We are delighted to introduce you to the newest member of our church staff, Stephanie Gunn-Monnett, who started as the Director of Children's Day Out (CDO) on June 12. Stephanie brings a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to our community, and we are thrilled to welcome her into this important role.

Stephanie has spent the past 20 years immersed in the amazing world of childcare, where she has developed a deep love for nurturing and educating young minds. She holds an impressive array of qualifications, including an MA in Education & Training, an MA in Public Administration, and a BS in Business Administration. In addition to her academic achievements, she is a certified Director of Childcare and holds numerous certifications such as CPR & First Aid, Prekindergarten Guidelines Training, and Child Safety & Emergency Procedures.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Stephanie cherishes spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She and her husband, who share a love story that includes revisiting the amusement park of their first date every 4-5 years, have built a life full of love and adventure. Stephanie enjoys trying new foods, celebrating Christmas, listening to music, watching mystery movies, and relaxing by the pool.

Stephanie's hobbies include event planning, gardening, wedding coordinating, and volunteering in outreach programs. Her favorite children's books, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and "Love You Forever," reflect her enduring commitment to the joy and growth of children. She has a unique ability to connect with young ones and foster a creative and nurturing environment.

We are confident that Stephanie's leadership will bring fresh energy and new ideas to our Children's Day Out program. Her dedication to creating a safe, engaging, and loving space for our children is truly inspiring.

Please join us in welcoming Stephanie Gunn-Monnett to our church family. You can reach her at smonnett@fumc-denton.com. We look forward to the positive impact she will undoubtedly have on our children and community.

Grace & Peace
