Join the Fun: Volunteer for Sunday School!
Dear Church Family,
Back to school is just around the corner, and fall Sunday school kicks off on August 11 for all our children and youth! We’re looking for lots of cheerful faces and loving hands to join us in making this season special. Volunteering is easy and rewarding—just one hour on a Sunday can make a big difference as you share the stories of our faith with these amazing kids.
Children’s Sunday School is at 10am in the Children’s wing on the 2nd floor of the Mulberry side of the church. We also need friends to lead the Open Kids lesson during the sermon time at Open Worship in Flinn Hall Lounge, usually 11:30ish-Noon. Wherever you choose to serve, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with our young ones and shine God’s love into the lives of kids in our community.
Volunteering doesn’t mean giving up your own small group commitments. You can sign up for as few or as many Sundays as you like. It’s also straightforward—all you need to do is show up! I’ll handle the lesson planning, materials, and any tech setup. We just need your love, leadership, and presence to keep our FUMC Denton Kids safe and engaged.
All volunteers are required to complete a quick background check and the Ministry Safe course, which only takes a few minutes. If you helped with Vacation Bible School, you’re already set!
