COVID-19: Christmas Worship Opportunities

Dear Church Family and Friends,

We are so looking forward to celebrating Christmas Eve with all of you either in-person or online! You can find information about all of these opportunities and also register for in-person opportunities below. Whichever way you choose to connect this year, know that you are dearly loved by the God who is with us always and who has sent light into the world, a light that cannot be overcome by the darkness God calls “night.”

Merry Christmas!
Pastor Don

Christmas Eve (Sanctuary)

Thursday, December 24 at 2 pm

Join us for a brief, indoor Christmas Eve service in the Sanctuary. We'll be celebrating Communion together with individual pre-filled communion cups for safety. Masks and social distancing will be required. Reservation is required so that we can ensure the safety of our community—please register the number for every person coming with you. Please keep your mask on as long as you are in the building and throughout the service. You can learn more about what to expect here.

Outdoor Christmas Eve Experience

Thursday, December 24 from 4-6 pm

Join us for a different kind of Christmas Eve service! We will offer an outdoor Christmas Eve experience with stations that will include communion, singing carols, candlelight, hot chocolate, and more! Sign up for a time slot between 4-6 pm so that you can travel through with a smaller group and so that we can stay covid-safe. This event will be outdoors, so please dress warmly and masks are required! Please sign up with the number of every person that will be joining you, children included. If you are not able to walk through this experience, please let us know when you sign up by using the comments feature or by emailing Jonathan Perry at jperry@fumc-denton.com. We will do our best to offer a transportation solution for you. We’re looking forward to worshipping with you! Register here.

Thursday, December 24 at 8 pm

Join us on Facebook, Youtube, or online at fumcdenton.com/live at 8 pm on December 24 for a special Christmas Eve service featuring music, leadership, and readings from all of our worship communities.
