Update from Pastor Don

Updated May 5, 2020

Dear Church Family,

We miss you and we look forward to the time when we can once again worship together…safely. Many of you have been asking, “When will this be?” Our answer continues to be, “We aren’t sure.” What we do know for certain is that we will continue to worship remotely through the end of May. And there’s a good chance that will last even longer. We are relying on the leadership of Bishop McKee to help determine when and what that might look like. We are also putting together a team of folks to address the myriad of questions related to how we will open so we will be ready when the time comes. But we are leaning heavily on the wise words of Methodism’s founder, John Wesley, who gave us Three Simple Rules, the first of which is, “Do no harm.” And we would be wise to keep the other two in mind, too. “Do good of every possible sort,” and, “Stay in love with God.”

We will keep you informed as things change. In the meantime, even if we can’t be together physically, we can continue to be together in spirit. We hope you will continue to take advantage of our online worship opportunities as well as many other opportunities for online Sunday school, small groups and Bible study as we continue to practice “alone-together.”

God bless you!
Pastor Don
