Introducing Teresa Starrett, Director of Children’s Ministry

SPRC is pleased to announce that Teresa Starrett will assume the role of Director of Children’s Ministries on Monday, October 19. For those of you who may not know Teresa, she and her husband, David Smith, have been a part of FUMC Denton since 2010 when she became involved with First Meal. Additionally, Teresa has served on the Hospitality, Missions, and SPRC committees. Teresa earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education, a master's in Special Education, and a doctorate in Educational Administration. She has already started working on a 3-year certification course in Christian Education and Children’s Ministry. Teresa plans to share the joy of learning about our faith with all of FUMC Denton’s children and families. In her spare time, Teresa enjoys cooking, baking, yoga, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
