Raising a middle schooler comes with big questions—and big feelings. Wonderfully Made is a faith-based workshop for 6th–8th graders that helps students explore what it means to be created in God’s image during a season of growth and change.
Through honest, age-appropriate teaching and guided discussion, students will learn about their changing bodies, emotional health, relationships, boundaries, and God’s design for sexuality—all in a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment. This program emphasizes respect, faith, and informed decision-making as students grow into who God created them to be.
Wonderfully Made is intentionally welcoming and affirming of all students, including those who may be queer, questioning, or straight, and creates space for every participant to feel respected, seen, and valued.
This course is $40 per child and facilitated by Rev. Audrua Welch, Associate Pastor at Plymouth Park UMC.
Schedule:
Friday, February 27—6:30-8:30pm
Saturday, February 28—9am-3pm
*The Wonderfully Made experience is paired with a parent seminar the Sunday prior (Teaching the Talk) on February 22 to help families continue these conversations at home with shared language and values. Together, we aim to support both students and parents as they navigate this important season of life with confidence, care, and faith.
