Trans Day of Remembrance is an annual observance to honor the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. Join OUTreach Denton for the annual Trans Day of Remembrance Vigil Ceremony that will include a grounding moment, remarks from OUTreach, reading the names of trans kin lost in 2025, and an optional collective resilience practice after the program

WHERE: First United Methodist Church of Denton, 201 S Locust St., Denton, TX 76201
in Flinn Hall that is located on the corner of Sycamore & Locust streets marked by a porch next to the rainbow doors.
PARKING: FUMC Denton offers parking behind the church, accessible from Mulberry Street, and in the smaller lot on Sycamore Street. Accessible parking spaces are available in both parking lots.
ENTRY: Please enter through the Flinn Hall porch doors or the doors under the Breezeway on the right side of Flinn Hall (wheelchair accessible).
RESTROOMS: The two multi-stall restrooms nearest Flinn Hall will be all-gender for the evening. The left restroom includes two stalls and two urinals, and the right restroom includes three stalls. There is also a single-stall all-gender restroom further inside the building in Miller Center.

Mobility Aid friendly entrance and seating spaces.
ASL interpretation available.
Amplified sound will be present.
Indoors, all ages event.
Water and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for free to attendees.
Masks are encouraged and will be available at the event.
Volunteers must have an affirming stances of 2SLGBTQIA+ community and liberation and a commitment to racial, disability, and reproductive justice. Older teens and adults can volunteer as name readers.
