January Mission Corner: Shiloh Food Pantry

  • First United Methodist Church of Denton 201 South Locust Street Denton, TX, 76201 United States (map)

The need for food assistance on college campuses is growing, with over 40 percent of college students reporting that they face hunger. Food insecurity has negative effects on academic performance, physical health, and mental health.

The Shiloh Food Pantry on the UNT campus is a partner agency with the Tarrant Area Food Bank and serves not only students but anyone in need in our community.

This month, let’s fill the Food Panty at the Denton Wesley. This is a list of their current needs:

  • Pasta

  • Individually Wrapped Snacks

  • Canned soups & chilis

  • Mac & Cheese, Boxed Dinners

  • Oatmeal and Cereal

  • Toiletries

  • Household Cleaners

  • Toilet paper

  • Laundry detergent pods

Thank you for your generous support of our Mission Corner. You may bring your donations to the collection box in the entryway off the Ivey Garden on Sunday mornings or during church office hours, Monday-Wednesday, from 9-4 or Thursdays, 9-12:30.

We have also created an Amazon Wishlist if you prefer to give that way.
