It’s almost back-to school time! This month’s Mission Corner will help set up the teachers at Tomás Rivera Elementary School for another great school year. 

Rivera Elementary is First UMC Denton’s Communities in Schools partner. It is a Title 1 School in Denton ISD and serves 650 students, southeast of downtown. We asked the teachers for their own back-to-school wish list. Here’s what they need:

• Ticonderoga pencils

• Scissors

• Crayola Crayons 24-count

• Washable markers

• Expo Markers

• Glue sticks

• Plastic folders with brads

• Facial tissue

• Clorox wipes

• Hand sanitizer

• Copy paper

• Ziplock bags-gallon size

• Dry erase pockets

Thank you so much for your support! You may bring your items with you on Sunday mornings or drop them by the collection box in the entry way off the Ivey Garden during Office Hours, Monday-Wednesday, from 9-4pm and Thursday, 9am-12:30pm.

We have also made an Amazon Wishlist where you may ship items to the church. Thank you for helping say thank you to our teachers.
