Start With Why
This Sunday we begin a new worship series, “Start with Why.” The power of a question is how it opens our minds and our hearts up to new possibilities. Thus, asking the right kinds of questions is critical in determining the answers we finally arrive at. The early church was defined by behaviors that seek to answer this very question (Acts 2:42-47). Why worship? Why Care? Why share? Why Tell the Story? Why Serve? These behaviors can help define who we are and what we believe; a people called together to worship God, to love and support one another, and to encourage each other to love and do good works. In answering these questions, we can reengage what it means to be the church and recommit to moving beyond being mere spectators by becoming active participants in the work of the church, God’s love embodied in the world.
