Called Out: What Good Can Come from Church?

This Sunday, in the worship series “Called Out,” we’ll look at the calling of some of the first followers of Jesus, and the role the church has in extending an invitation to those we know and love, to meet Jesus. We know that God calls us to spread the good news of God’s love in Jesus. Of course, that asks much of us; to not only see the good news but to be the good news, and then to invite others to experience it as well. Just as Nathanael asked, “What good can come from Nazareth?,” so we are asked to answer the similar question of, “What good can come from church?” Ultimately, the answer is Jesus but perhaps the best way to address this question is to become the answer, as we allow Jesus to live and love through us.
