Welcoming Back Teachers

FUMC Denton remains in mission to our community, state, and the world during the current pandemic. On Tuesday, August 4th, members of the Missions Committee and New Horizons Sunday school class, under the leadership of Mary and Bob Harris, served a welcome breakfast to over 90 faculty and staff members at Rivera Elementary school. Those served received a boxed breakfast with a breakfast taco, muffin, croissant, and healthy cookie along with a cold drink of their choice. Principal Marvin White expressed deep gratitude for FUMC Denton’s ongoing support of Rivera students and staff. Teachers picked up their boxes and returned to their rooms to maintain social distancing guidelines while they enjoyed their treats. The teachers were excited to be honored in this way and asked that their appreciation be shared with our church!
