Candy, Costumes, & Community at Trunk or Treat!
What a night! Our Trunk or Treat: Share the Harvest event was unforgettable, bringing hundreds of community members to our campus in their most creative costumes. From kids to adults, everyone showed up in full Halloween spirit, making it an evening filled with laughter, excitement, and, of course, candy galore! With over 20,000 pieces of candy donated by our amazing congregation, we were fully stocked to treat our community.
Our church family and friends truly outdid themselves with incredible trunk themes that had everyone buzzing; including the magical world of Harry Potter, a Ninja Turtles Pizza Party, the hilariously beloved "Cat Ladies" trunk, and so many more! The energy was contagious, and it was evident everyone was having a blast.
Pastors Scott and Raegan, along with their kids, hosted a Zoo-themed trunk, with Scott as the zookeeper, Raegan as a popcorn vendor, and their kids dressed as an adorable elephant, parrot, and jaguar! Pastor Sheryl and Chris also brought the excitement with their creative Survivor-themed trunk, and we were so excited to welcome community partners like Denton County Friends of the Family and the Denton Wesley Foundation to our trunk team!
Thank you to everyone who donated canned goods that will help alleviate hunger in our community! We recieved 18 pkgs of pasta, 3 cans ravioli, 8 cans fruit/baked goods, 9 cans of corn, 13 cans of beans, 17 cans of green veggies, 6 cans of canned fish, 20 cans of soup and 3 jars of baby food. All of the food was distributed and shared with Love Pacs and the Rivera Elementary food pantry!
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible! From the volunteers who worked tirelessly, to those who came in costume, to everyone who managed and handed out candy (special thanks to Mo for ensuring we had enough to last the whole night!). Each of you helped make this night unforgettable for our church and the community.
Here’s to a fantastic Trunk or Treat—we can't wait to do it again next year!
