Our Youth’s Week at Bridgeport Camp

Our Campers posed in front of the iconic Bridgeport cross.

This past week, eleven students and two adult leaders from FUMC Denton traded their usual routines for a week of faith, fun, and friendship at Bridgeport Camp and Retreat Center! Bridgeport is one of two camps belonging to the Horizon Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Our students joined more than 200 other campers from across the conference for a week centered on this year's theme: "Crowded Table." Through worship, small groups, and plenty of camp activities, students explored the many ways God calls us to widen our circles—making room at our tables for others and continually inviting people into beloved community.

Beyond the lessons, there was no shortage of fun! Campers built new friendships, tried new activities, and experienced the kind of Christian community that only a week away at camp can offer.

We're so proud of our students for the way they showed up this week—ready to grow in faith, serve one another, and bring home a bigger vision of what a "crowded table" can look like in our own church and community!
