Big Sound, Bigger Joy: Modern Christmas Concert 2025
Flinn Hall was overflowing with joy, music, and Christmas spirit at this year’s Modern Christmas Concert—and we mean overflowing. With not an empty seat in the room and people standing in the back, it was clear from the moment the first note rang out that this was going to be a special night.
From start to finish, the energy was contagious. Kids danced up front, friends sang along, and the room pulsed with laughter, applause, and holiday cheer. It was one of those nights where the joy felt effortless—and shared by everyone in the room.
Throughout the evening, we also enjoyed funny stories and reflections from Pastor Raegan, Pastor Scott, and Jack Payne, Director of Youth & Families, reminding us that Christmas joy is about more than music—it’s about connection, hope, and showing up together.
The night wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible work happening behind the scenes. A huge thank you to Jerry, Aubrey, Justin, and Josh for making the sound, lighting, and livestreaming run seamlessly. Your work helped bring this experience to life both in the room and online.
Music for the evening was performed by the FUMC Denton Modern Band:
Kelly Evans – keys
Dave Huff – bass & vocals
Jim McKinney – trumpet
Brandon Morris – drums
Joe Perez – sax
Krystal Stroud – vocals
Georgianne Travis – sax
Lizzy Williams – vocals
Taylor Williams – guitar & vocals
Clay Willis – lead guitar
If you weren’t able to join us in person—or if you want to relive the magic—you can watch the full livestreamed concert video embedded above.
Thank you to everyone who came out, sang along, danced, clapped, and made this a night to remember. This is what Christmas at FUMC Denton looks like—and we can’t wait to do it again.
