Introducing Alicia Dowling, Director of CDO!

Dear Church Family,

On behalf of our Staff-Parish Relations Committee (SPRC), please welcome Alicia Dowling as our Director of Children’s Day Out (CDO). Alicia comes to us with a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from Midwestern State University and a Masters in Family Science from UNT. Alicia worked at an Early Head Start Program for 7 years where she became the Program, Education, and Disability Manager.  Once she completed her masters, Alicia began working with Special Abilities of North Texas as a development coordinator, writing grants, soliciting individual donations, and coordinating fundraising events. Alicia felt a call to work with children and we are thrilled that call led her to us. She has found a home at FUMC Denton with her 2 sons, one in the children’s program and one in youth.  In her spare time, she enjoys playing board games with the family, and attending the kids extra curricular events. Alicia is excited to be joining CDO and getting to know the staff, children, and their parents. She can be reached at adowling@fumc-denton.com. Welcome Alicia!

Grace and peace,
Carol Rogers, SPRC Chair
