COVID-19 Survey Response Update

Updated May 26, 2020

Dear Church Family,

We continue to look forward to gathering once again as an in-person worshipping community. However, we have decided to continue with online worship and programming through the end of June, when we will again re-evaluate the circumstances that we are facing at that time. We recently sent out a survey and we are so grateful for the nearly 300 responses that we got from you. Processing your feedback and hearing your voices on this helped us understand that we are not ready to return to in-person worship at this time. If you didn’t receive the survey and would like to receive future communications from the church, please subscribe at the bottom of the fumcdenton.com homepage. If you haven’t taken the survey, you can still do so at https://fumcdenton.wufoo.com/forms/may-2020-survey/.

In addition to your feedback, we are also following the lead of our Bishop, who has not yet approved churches reopening in the Greater Dallas area. We will continue to seek the Bishop’s leadership on this as we go. The most important consideration at this time is the health and safety of all our members and guests while providing a meaningful worship experience. We will continue to keep you informed as the situation develops—all updates will be posted at fumcdenton.com/covid19. In the meantime, thank you for all you do to shine God’s love into every life and for your continued support and prayers for our community!

Peace & Thanks,
The Lay Leadership & Staff of FUMC Denton
