Live-streaming Update Part 2

Friends,

Thank you for your patience as we have worked to have a consistent livestreaming experience at FUMC Denton. The pause in our livestream over the last two weeks has given us an opportunity to test equipment and try to solve the inconsistency we have faced. We are not 100% sure that everything is fixed, but we are ready to return to livestreaming… with a catch. We will be livestreaming all of the services this week on YouTube only. We will share a link to the service via Facebook on Sunday morning. You can access the YouTube video via that link, by visiting our website, or by searching for FUMC Denton on YouTube.

As many of you know, we have also experienced an issue with the audio on our cablecast over the last two weeks. These two issues are unrelated, and the timing couldn’t be worse! We’re working with the cable providers to fix the problem. We can tell you the issue is happening somewhere “downstream.” So, it is not any of our equipment that is failing. You might be surprised to know that we don’t pay anything to be on cable TV each week, and we rely on equipment at UNT and Spectrum to make everything work. So, tracking down issues takes some patience and time. We believe this issue is resolved for this coming Sunday.

As always, thanks for being a part of the worship life at FUMC Denton whether in-person or online. We appreciate you, and appreciate your patience and grace as we continue to work out these issues in our system.

If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Peace,

Josh
