Iona has been a significant place of pilgrimage throughout history. It is considered the birthplace of Cel1c Spirituality. Additionally, it is home to some of the oldest geological forma1ons in the world, has been an inspiration for Scottish colorist painters and the composer Felix Mendelssohn. Since the 1950’s it has been the spiritual home of the modern-day Iona Community—an international, ecumenical Chris1an movement working for justice and peace, the rebuilding of community and the renewal of worship. Pilgrims will have the opportunity to engage in a week of worship, prayer, and programmes led by notable worship leader and composer John Bell. The trip will also include stops in Glasgow, Edinburgh, and the Scottish Highlands.
