In some ways it feels like we are in the midst of a redo, 2020 being mostly swallowed by the pandemic. As we begin a new year, we have the God-given opportunity to enter into a time of refreshment, what the apostle Paul describes as anapaúō, to give rest or refresh (Philemon 1:7). God is doing something new among us. Paul claims we have been giving a ministry of refreshment: to refresh our ourselves, our relationships, our church and our world.
