Ready. Set. Go! Workshop with Texas Impact

  • First United Methodist Church of Denton 201 South Locust Street Denton, TX, 76201 United States (map)

Democracy is strongest when ALL communities show up.

Join faith leaders, congregants, advocates, and community members from across North Texas for Ready. Set. Go!, an interfaith civic engagement summit designed to equip and inspire action for the 2026 elections and beyond.

Through keynote speakers, expert panels, and interactive workshops, participants will:

  • Learn how policy impacts their communities

  • Build relationships across faith traditions

  • Develop practical advocacy and civic engagement skills

  • Explore issues including immigration, public education, women's health, climate, and gun violence prevention

  • Leave with concrete next steps for engagement

Whether you're a seasoned advocate or just beginning your civic engagement journey, Ready. Set. Go! offers the tools, connections, and inspiration to help strengthen our communities and our democracy. You will leave better prepared to engage in informed conversations, advocate for sound policies, and respond constructively to threats to the common good within our communities.

This is one event that will happen twice at two locations. The one at FUMC Denton will be Saturday, August 1 from 9:30am–3pm.
