International Overdose Awareness Day is a global event held on August 31 each year to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of a drug-related death. It also acknowledges the grief felt by families and friends remembering those who have died as a result of drug overdose.

FUMC Denton is participating in this powerful community event, and we need your help! We’re looking for volunteers to:

• Set up our church’s info table before the event

• Staff the table during the evening to offer a welcoming presence, share about our ministries, and connect with attendees

• Help tear down and bring materials back to the church afterward
