January Mission Corner: Little Free Pantry

  • First United Methodist Church of Denton 201 South Locust Street Denton, TX, 76201 United States (map)

This January, the Missions Team will be collecting donations for the Little Free Pantry on Elm Street in front of the Rowland Law Firm. Little Free Pantries are designed to hold a small capacity of food and supplies for individuals and families in need.

While there are many organized food pantries currently in the Denton community, Little Free Pantries provide an additional resource for food insecure individuals—especially individuals who may not be eligible to receive services like food stamps or other need-based resources because of their income. These pantries also fill the gap on the days when individuals aren’t able to visit regular facilities during normal business hours.

Little Free Pantry Shopping Suggestions

All pantry items must be:

  • Shelf-stable (non-perishable)
