Multi-grammy nominated musical artist Michael Gungor is best known for creating inclusive and eclectic spiritual music. “I don’t think we all need to believe in the same things,” he has said. “It’s possible to see all of life as sacred.” This sort of pluralism shows up in Gungor’s musical stylings almost as much as in his philosophy. From synthesizers and drum machines to french horns and classical guitar; from singable, post-rock anthems to identity-deconstructing mantras whispered in odd time signatures—this “Psychedelic Gospel” artist loves to experiment with any and all of the tools at his disposal to accomplish his mission of creating music that helps open the heart to the fullness and beauty of life.

Lisa Gungor (artist name Isa Ma), whose voice is featured heavily on Gungor albums and continues to be one of Michael's favorite and most important musical collaborators, will be joining him for this special show in Denton on Saturday, June 25, from 6-8pm in the Sanctuary (2nd Floor on the corner of Mulberry & Locust) at FUMC Denton.
