April Mission Corner: Denton ISD Students Experiencing Homelessness

Denton ISD identifies hundreds of students experiencing homelessness, including over 400 teenagers. These students face instability in their housing, such as sleeping on a friend’s couch, staying in motels, or living in their vehicles.

This month’s Mission Corner is focused on meeting these kid’s ongoing needs for non-perishable foods. Here is a list of suggestions items:

  • Cereal (boxes or individual size)

  • Oatmeal cups or individual packets

  • Ravioli, spaghetti-os, and soup with pull tops 

  • Ramen, cup of noodles, Easy Mac

  • Fruit cups/cans

  • Granola Bars, energy bars, breakfast bars, etc

  • Fruit snacks, crackers, etc

  • Microwavable popcorn bags

  • Shelf stable and individual sized juice/milk/water

You may bring your donations to the collection box in the entryway off the Ivey Garden on Sunday mornings or during church office hours, Monday-Wednesday, 9-4 and Thursday, 9-12:30.
