Sundays, April 12 & 19 | 10am | Room 336
The Harvest Sunday School class invites you to a special 2-week class April 12 & 19 facilitated by Holly Hutchins. Holly is a mom, university administrator, and avid pet lover. She is married to Brandy Gibson, and her daughters, Charlotte (15) and Avery (23), are a big part of her joy and love. Holly is a proud UNT alumna, graduating with her Ph.D. from UNT in 2004. She was a member of the faculty and department administrator at the University of Houston for 17 years before returning to UNT in 2021 as Vice Provost of Faculty Success. This position blends her expertise in learning and development, leadership, and organizational change. Holly is a member of the Denton Rotary Club, and most weekends you can find her and Brandy at estate sales, rescuing a dog or bird, or enjoying their much-loved Denton community.
Holly will lead us through a discussion of Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again by Rachel Held Evans
If the Bible isn't a science book or an instruction manual, what is it? What do people mean when they say the Bible is inspired? When New York Times bestselling author Rachel Held Evans found herself asking these questions, she embarked on a journey to better understand what the Bible is and how it's meant to be read. What she discovered changed her—and it can change you, too.
