Community in Conversation: Racial Reconciliation Dinner

  • First United Methodist Church of Denton 201 South Locust Street Denton, TX, 76201 United States (map)

Community in Conversation invites you to join others in our community to share a meal and authentic conversation about race and relations. We believe we have more in common than we often realize and through structured dialogue using trained facilitators, participants will be able to share their stories and experiences with each other in a safe and open environment.

  • When: Sunday, October 12, 2025 | 4-6pm

  • Where: First United Methodist Church, Miller Center | 201 S.
Locust St, Denton, TX 76201

    • Please use the tunnel door at the intersection of Mulberry and Austin streets (wheelchair accessible)

  • Cost: Free (donations are always welcome to fund future events)

We hope you'll join us for an opportunity to listen to each other, learn from each other, and share our experiences in a safe and honest way that we may use these conversations to build and strengthen our community.

This program is a continuation of FUMC Denton’s focus on ending racism and building a loving community by breaking down barriers, learning from each other, and seeking justice.

We are partnering with Project Unity/Together We Dine to host this event.

Another way to further the conversation:
Join us for the Community in Conversation Book Club | 3rd Saturdays, Monthly, 5-7 PM | Patchouli Joe’s Bookstore. Currently Reading: The Science of Racism by Keon West. No time to read? Join the discussion anyway!
