Acts of Repentance: A Virtual Racial Justice Event - Registration Required
Hosted by North Texas Conference United Women in Faith & United Women in Faith National Office
Saturday, April 23 from 10- 11:30 am
"We have a responsibility to ourselves, to our God, to our neighbor, and to all of creation to strive for restoration and reconciliation. Until we understand the Good News of salvation through restoration and work toward community that bridges and heals, we will not know true wholeness personally or within the many systems we participate in."
—Pastor Laura Byrd, First UMC-Denton, 01.27.22
YOU ARE INVITED to join laity and clergy for a panel discussion about racial justice and the importance of actively engaging in acts of repentance on the path to restoration, reconciliation, and healing. We will host a powerful virtual panel discussion focused on the Acts of Repentance, how this work is anchored in Matthew 5:13-16 and Romans 12:14-18 and how United Women in Faith (formally UMW) can be in solidarity with impacted communities.
