The First United Methodist Church Denton Chancel Choir invites you to experience Illuminare, the stunning extended work by acclaimed composer Elaine Hagenberg. Drawing on ancient Latin, Greek, and English sacred texts, Illuminare traces a powerful journey from beauty through darkness and ultimately into the triumph of light and peace. Across its five movements, audiences are invited to reflect on the enduring promise that hope can break through even the deepest night.

This is more than a concert. Through immersive lighting, visual effects, and a few surprises along the way, our sanctuary will become part of the story itself, surrounding listeners with an experience designed to engage both the eyes and the ears.
