Start With Why: Why Serve in the Church?

As things thaw following our recent ice storm, Sunday is your chance to come bask in the warmth and loving hospitality of your church family. We will gather in person or virtually to explore “the why” of our faith as we continue with the worship series, “Start With Why.” Last week we talked about how authentic community creates disciples. This Sunday we’ll ask the question, “Why Serve in the Church?” One of Jesus’ favorite metaphors for a disciple is of a steward, someone entrusted with the care of another’s possessions. A steward is in a position of trust. To be a steward of the church is to care for the faith community. Disciples who follow in the way of Christ, are responsible for the church’s ministries, and find ways to be faithful to its mission. Come join us as we continue exploring “the why” of our faith together.
