The Word Became Flesh

I invite you to join me in exploring one of the most abstract theological passages in scripture—John 1:1-18. It is here that we see Jesus referenced as “the word” that “became flesh." If we listen carefully, we can hear an important Christian truth—that in Jesus, God lived among us, through the good and the bad of life, embracing all of it. Throughout our history, people have taken great comfort in knowing that Jesus shared in human hardship and suffering. Because Jesus embraced us, we can embrace Jesus.
