Trinity Sunday

This week we observe the historical Christian tradition of Trinity Sunday, reflecting on how we meet the same God in the Creator, the Christ, and the counsel and community of the Spirit. Although this tradition may seem complicated or even paradoxical, in our practice and experience we know that we encounter God in many ways: through the majesty and wonder and diversity of creation, through the faces of the human community and compassion with the 'least of these', and through the stirring of our hearts for whatever is true and praiseworthy, and much, much, much. The same heart of God is encountered in many diverse ways, each with different attributes, but all with the same unchanging, eternal character of steadfast Love.
