Ash Wednesday 2021

Welcome to Ash Wednesday worship at FUMC Denton! Today begins the season of Lent where we find our need for God’s grace and our connectedness in being God’s creation. Ashes are an ancient symbol of repentance, sorrow, sacrifice, and a reminder that we were created by God from dust. During this service, we will guide you through self-imposition (marking yourself with ashes). If you don’t have ashes at home, feel free to use any alternative—dirt, glitter, spices, and chalk are all great alternatives. Anything you have will work just fine. We look forward to worshiping with you!
