Life’s Big Questions: Why Pray? What are the ways we can think about God?

This Sunday, Mother’s Day, we’ll be continuing the worship series, “Life’s Big Questions.” In the sanctuary service, I’ll be peaching on the question, “Why pray?” as we explore together what prayer is, and the power it has for our lives and for the world.

Pastor Jonathan will be preaching in both Mosaic and Open on the question, “What are ways we can think about God?” Can we think of God in ways other than a bearded dude on a throne? YES! This might be the only question we've definitively answered during the Life's Big Questions series. In fact, if we don't think about God in other ways, if we don't remember the other metaphors describing God's love in scripture, we miss out on a more complete picture of who God is. God is not a man sitting on a throne—God is Mother, Father, Son, the feminine Holy Spirit, an infinite creator, and so much more.
