Heart of the City: With All Your Heart

One of the things I love about this church is its heart for the community. We are involved not only as a church in Denton County, we are involved individually in so many aspects of it’s life, as we seek to contribute to the wellbeing of the communities we belong to. Just as the Jewish exiles in Babylon were told to seek the shalom (wholistic flourishing) of the whole community, so we are learning to love both God and our neighbor with our whole hearts. I am convinced that as we seek to love others with all our hearts, we will discover “God” in our neighbor, as Jesus once put it, “When you have done it for the least of these, you have done so to me.” Mt. 25:40
