Dear FUMC Denton family,

The girls from the Jerri Savuto Center are wearing blue and purple t-shirts that say “Jerri Savuto Girls warmly welcome Mama Cynthia Rives, Lisa Nelson, & Teams to Kenya.”

The mission team from FUMC Denton just returned from the dedication of the Jerri Savuto Girls Center in Tot, Kreel Marakwet, Kenya! It was a glorious day of celebration and thanksgiving to God. I wish you could have been there with us! The Jerri Savuto girls are amazing! They are bright, talented, disciplined, and creative. They have strength, courage, vision, and hope! In true Jerri Savuto style, they love to “happy dance”!

I believe all of this was possible because God’s power is working in and through us.  This day of celebration was possible because of your loving response to God’s invitation to be part of this mission to young girls in Kenya and I thank you so very much!

Thank you for your support in building the center, for providing funds to feed, clothe, and care for the girls. Thank you for funds to provide for their schooling and security.
