Jesus Fuente de Vida Lakeside Baptism Service

Pastors Martha & Scott baptizing Edgar with the assistance of Henry.

On August 18, under the warm Texas sun at Lake Ray Roberts, the Jesus Fuente de Vida Hispanic worshipping community celebrated a memorable baptism service. Led by Pastor Scott Gilliland and Pastor Martha Segundo, the day marked the transformative decision of four young people and two adults to embrace baptism. Pastor Martha reflected, "It is wonderful to be part of these experiences of baptism once again, and even more beautiful to see the transformation that God begins in each of the people who were baptized."

The event was filled with heartfelt moments, including Pastor Scott's dedication as he conducted the baptisms in full jeans and a button-up shirt, having forgotten a change of clothes. Following the service, the community gathered for a cookout with delicious food prepared by Victor and friends, creating a perfect ending to a day of faith, fellowship, and celebration.

Baltazar, Fortunato, Victor, Martha, Henry, Livingston, and Sylvia gathered for a group photo.
