Celebrating High School Graduates and the Beginning of Summer!

This past Sunday was a day that held both tender, meaningful moments and joyful, high-energy fun from morning to evening.

On Sunday morning, we had the privilege of honoring three remarkable young people across all three services and during the Sunday School hour: Eric Cansler, Maddyn Dooley, and Jack Turner. We are so proud of each of them! Eric, Maddyn, and Jack decorated tables in Miller Center that shared their stories, their journeys, and a glimpse of what lies ahead. Members of the congregation had the opportunity to stop by, celebrate with them, and leave personal notes of encouragement to remind them that wherever life takes them—to new cities, new campuses, and new adventures—God's love will always be here for them, and so will we!

As if the morning wasn't already full of joy, Sunday evening brought a whole new kind of energy to our campus. FUMC Denton hosted a Methodist Mash-Up gathering of local UMC youth groups that happen every couple of months to give young people the chance to connect, build friendships, and simply be together.

We welcomed over 50 youth from more than 5 different churches, and the evening was everything a great summer celebration should be: burgers, 9 Square, an obstacle course, and a lot of fun on our brand new sand volleyball court.

Watching youth from different congregations come together, play together, and invest in each other is exactly the kind of community we believe God calls us to build! Thank you for investing in the lives of our youth!
