High School Mission Trip to Baton Rouge, LA

Our High Schoolers recently returned from their mission trip to Baton Rouge, LA! This was a group of 11 youth and adults who were part of a home repair ministry called Revive 225—a ministry of First UMC of Baton Rouge. Pastor David said, "we spent a week on Ms. Pam's house, replacing her bathroom floor, installing a new air conditioner, and other repairs. We saw poverty and plenty right next to each other. We saw people who didn't have homes alongside people who were living comfortably. We saw houses that were falling apart next to houses that were in good shape. We talked about how we see the same thing here in Denton. Your generosity, both in giving to the budget and in supporting youth fundraisers, make these experiences and insights possible." Your continued generosity enables our youth to act on what they've learned—thank you!
