Supporting Denton County Friends of the Family

Above is a picture of Denton County Friends of the Family Director of Legal Services and FUMC Denton member Donna Bloom, along with DCFOF Outreach Services Specialist Veronica Rodriguez, in the agency's Hygiene Closet with some of the donations collected during our October Missions Corner.

Donna shared in worship about a client who needed pull-ups for her child, and that client got what she needed the very next day after our first delivery of donated items to the agency. Thank you to the missions committee, the leadership, staff, and volunteers of the church, and everyone who made themselves available to learn more about the work Friends of the Family does in our community and the challenges faced by the clients they serve, and also everyone who donated. All of it makes a real difference in practical assistance, and in clients' understanding of the community support for their lives to have the peace, safety, and justice they deserve.
