1,395 Items and $650 Delivered to Rivera Elementary Teachers

Communities in Schools employee helping to receive the donations from FUMC Denton at Rivera Elementary

Thanks to your generosity, we delivered 1,395 items and $650 to teachers at Tomás Rivera Elementary School this week as a result of the July Mission Corner!

Rivera Elementary is FUMC Denton's Communities in Schools partner and a Title 1 school serving 650 students southeast of downtown. Many teachers spend their own money each year to stock their classrooms with basic supplies, often before they even receive their first paycheck of the school year.

Your donations of pencils, crayons, glue sticks, tissues, hand sanitizer, and so much more will help Rivera's teachers start the year fully equipped, so they can focus on what matters most—their students.
