SPRC Update: Pastor Mauricio

Dear Church Family,

We’re writing to inform you that Pastor Mauricio Orozco is departing our church staff. He has served as an Associate Pastor for 7 years and we are so thankful for his time with us. While his primary focus has been Hispanic Ministry, he’s been an important pastoral presence and has served in missions, pastoral care, and in helping guide our Stephen Ministry. He has been such a kind presence on our pastoral team and he will be dearly missed.

Pastor Mauricio’s last day will be Sunday, June 25. We will host a reception for him at 10 am on June 25 in Miller Center to celebrate his ministry at this church and offer him our love, support, and gratitude for sharing his gifts at FUMC Denton.

We are currently finalizing a plan for the future of our Jesus Fuente de Vida worship community, in partnership with key lay leaders, that will allow our Hispanic ministry to continue to shine God’s love in our city and grow for years to come. We look forward to sharing details with you all in the coming weeks.

Please offer your thanks and well wishes to Pastor Mauricio by reaching out to him at morozco@fumc-denton.com or by calling the church office. He welcomes your support and prayers as he prepares for the next chapter of his ministry.

Grace & Peace,
Rev. Don Lee
Rev. Jonathan Perry
