Alicia Dowling Departing as CDO Director

Dear Church Family,

We are writing to share the news that Alicia Dowling, our Director of Children’s Day Out, has accepted a new position to serve children at Early Childhood Intervention and will no longer be part of our church staff effective November 1, 2023. While we will miss her on our staff, we are thankful for the work she has done and the impact she has made at CDO. We are so happy for her to continue her journey in caring for kids through such a great opportunity.

We have begun the work of planning for an interim period and the process of searching for a new Director—prioritizing the continuous high-quality care and education for our CDO kids and families every step of the way. We will stay in communication with our CDO families to keep them informed as we move through this process, and we will update the church when we hire the next Director. The care of our CDO families and kids is of upmost importance to us, and we are committed to making this process as smooth as possible.

Thank you for your support of and care for Alicia throughout her time here! We know that being part of the FUMC Denton and CDO family has been a meaningful experience for her, and we will continue to work toward an excellent future for Children’s Day Out. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.

Peace & Thanks,
Rev. Don Lee, Senior Pastor
Rev. Jonathan Perry, Executive Pastor
Brian Moshier, Director of Operations
Cole Martin, Staff-Parish Relations Committee Chair
