Join us for a discussion of Pushout: The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools by Monique W. Morris. Morris challenges us to examine the overlooked and underreported plight of criminalized Black women and girls. Using a blend of statistics and stories, Morris shows how obstacles, stigmas, stereotypes and despair, Black girls seek dignity in their lives in classrooms, juvenile facilities and beyond.
