Saint Art & Healing

  • First United Methodist Church of Denton 201 South Locust Street Denton, TX, 76201 United States (map)

A time of healing and art-making with our church family. This will be an event where we can gather to celebrate the saints we've lost, rather they are loved one, a pet, a community member, or a social icon—all of those who we've lost are saints.

We'll be making mixed-media collages to honor our saints, so if you have any pictures or materials that you'd like to incorporate into your art, bring them along! Otherwise, we'll have supplies available for you and we will be able to print pictures for you at the church.

We're meeting in Flinn Hall Lounge (the room right behind Open that's on the corner of Sycamore and Locust—where Open Kids meet!). It's accessible from the Open porch and the Cole Chapel entrance.

If you'll need childcare for your kids ages 0-5th grade, please RSVP to Krystal Stroud at kstroud@fumc-denton.com by Wednesday, October 20 with your kids’ names and ages.

If you’d like for your Saint Art to be included in our All Saints Service on Monday, November 1, you are welcome to leave it here and pick it up on your way out of the All Saints Service or at another time during the week or on a Sunday.

All are welcome! Please RSVP here so we know how many supplies we'll need to gather. Hope to see you there!
