March Mission Corner: Our Daily Bead

  • First United Methodist Church of Denton 201 South Locust Street Denton, TX, 76201 United States (map)

Our Daily Bread feeds, shelters, and cares for the homeless and at-risk in our community while maintaining the dignity of our guests and offering opportunities for a new start.

In addition to the normal donations to help them deliver daily needs, the Missions Team is looking for teams of 3-4 to go with us and volunteer at the new Our Daily Bread facility. There are a variety of jobs such as serving meals, organizing items in the supply closet for their guests, or helping with the admissions desk. All time slots are available through the day. This is not an ongoing commitment, but we hope you may feel the call to try again sometime. Contact one of the Mission Team members or sign up in the Miller Center on Sunday mornings!  Full instructions will be available from a Missions Team member or from Mo Underwood (connection@fumc-denton.com) in Miller on Sundays.

Please join us for this hands on opportunity!

Please drop off donated items in any worship space on Sunday mornings or at the Ivey Garden entrance to FUMC Denton during business hours.
