Sanctuary Service

  • First United Methodist Church of Denton 201 South Locust Street Denton, TX, 76201 United States (map)

Join us on Sundays at 8:30 am for simple services in the Sanctuary. Masks and social distancing will be required.

Join us for instrumental music, a message from a Pastor, and Communion on the first Sundays of the month. When the service is over, you will be dismissed by row by an usher to limit large crowds.Reservation is required so that we can ensure the safety of our community—please register the number for every person coming with you. Our Sunday school classes, groups, nursery, Kids and Youth Ministries will not yet resume in-person on Sunday mornings.

What to Bring:

  • Please bring and wear a mask while you are on campus.

  • Children school-age and up should have masks as well.

  • We have removed everything from the pews to keep them sanitary. Please bring your Bible and if you’re a note-taker, you’ll need to bring your own paper and pen.

  • If you plan to bring your offering, there will be an offering box. We will not pass baskets during worship.

What to expect when you arrive:

There will be one entrance open—the Mulberry side door facing the Wells Fargo Bank. There will be a Welcome Table at the door where someone will be waiting to take your temperature, check your registration, and help you find your way to the Sanctuary. All of our surfaces will be professionally cleaned and ready for you. Hand sanitizing stations will be available as you enter the building and in the Sanctuary. Please keep your mask on as long as you are in the building and throughout the service.

We look forward to worshipping with you! If you have any questions, please reach out to our Director of Worship & Music, Josh Taylor, at jtaylor@fumc-denton.com.
