October has long been a time to acknowledge domestic violence survivors and to promote advocacy and raise awareness. Denton County Friends of the Family provides compassionate services to those impacted by abuse and domestic violence.

This month the Mission Team is working together with Friends of the Family to fill the shelves of their hygiene closet, where clients have the opportunity to shop the closet for items they may need.

DCFOF donation items:

• Deodorant

• Shampoo and conditioner

• African American hair care products

• Body wash and body soap

• Toothbrushes and toothpaste

• Baby wipes

• Diapers-size 5, 6 and 7

• Toilet paper

You may bring your donations to the collection box in the entryway off the Ivey Garden on Sunday mornings or during church office hours, Monday-Wednesday, 9-4 and Thursday, 9-12.
