6 pm: Bluegrass Worship in Sanctuary

The FUMC Denton Music Ministry presents a special evening of bluegrass music, food, and fellowship! We’ll begin in Miller Center with burgers and live bluegrass music. Then at 6 pm, we will move to the sanctuary for a Bluegrass Evening Prayer service featuring the Chancel Choir accompanied by the bluegrass band. The choir will present Wes Ramsey and Tim Sharp’s Come Away to the Skies: A High Lonesome Bluegrass Mass during this brief evening prayer service. The music weaves familiar folk melodies into each movement creating a uniquely American take on the traditional texts of the Mass Ordinary. You won’t want to miss any part of this evening!
